UONEITape selection and technical support
Find a starting point by application, material or problem. Compare requirements, prepare a technical enquiry and request model-specific evidence before choosing a tape.
Noise and wear are different selection needs. Fleece is a material family to discuss for contact noise; a cloth construction may be considered for wrapping and mechanical protection. A material name alone does not establish an abrasion class or temperature rating.
Poor contact can have more than one cause. The actual bonding surface, contamination, application pressure and temperature are useful starting points for investigation. Changing to a stronger-looking tape without checking the process may not address the cause.
A residue complaint needs evidence of where separation occurred. Record whether adhesive remains on the part, the backing splits, or the coating comes away. Do not promise clean removal without testing the intended surface and exposure conditions.
Electrical insulation and flame behaviour are separate requirements. Confirm the exact model, construction, test standard and report scope for each. A company management certificate does not establish the electrical or flame rating of every finished tape.
Start by defining whether the tape is intended for electrical contact, grounding, shielding or mechanical attachment. These objectives require different acceptance evidence. A conductive-looking backing alone is not enough to confirm performance in a finished assembly.
You can enquire without knowing our model numbers. Select the relevant material categories and describe the intended use. List each known model or product name on a separate line; include customer references as references, not as proven equivalents.
